Shane Conklin is an amateur photographer with an interest in capturing bird behavior and other wildlife. The majority of Shane's porfolio comes from family vacations in Florida where he enjoys visiting wildlife sanctuaries. His photographs have been awarded first place and honorable mention in contests sponsored by the National Audubon Society and the Cornell School of Ornithology. In 2009, the United States Department of the Interior published one of Shane's photographs in its State of the Birds report. Shane is the associate vice chancellor for facilities & campus services at the University of Massachusetts and lives in the Pioneer Valley with his wife and two daughters.
