The UMass/Amherst Family Business Center assists family owned companies in recognizing their common problems and in finding solutions to the unique challenges confronting them.

The Center offers members an educational, interactive learning environment, including presentations by experts from the fields of psychology, management training and development, law, accounting, financial and estate planning, and banking. Learn to run your company more professionally, develop policies and procedures based on the best practices of successful colleagues, improve your communication and strategizing skills, increase both the satisfaction and the bottom line in your family owned business.

Through a series of well-catered dinner forums and roundtable discussion groups, the center offers a confidential and intimate enviroment for airing and sharing among the membership. Reach out and broaden your professional and social horizons in the comfort of a built-in community of colleagues who can be counted on for support and continuing dialogue.

We encourage you to attend our dinner forums, they are listed on the calendar of events and chamber members are invited to attend one dinner event free of charge. We hope you will take advantage of this great business resource.

The director of the UMass Family Business Center, Ira Bryck, is interested and available to speak with you more.
